About the director...
Louis Daniel is a native of Pascagoula, MS. An active participant in church and
school choral programs growing up, Louis continued his piano studies as well as
studied voice upon reaching the University of Southern Mississippi, graduating
with a choral degree in 1987. He served as organist of First United Methodist
Church, Pascagoula, MS, for eight years, as organist of First Presbyterian Church of
Pascagoula for four years, as a professional chorister at St. Ignatius Catholic
Church, Mobile, AL for a little over two years, as organist/choirmaster at St. Luke's
Episcopal Church, Mobile, for six and a half years, and as organist/choir director at
Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Mobile for
three years.

Louis F. Daniel, piano
Louis' compositions have been performed
by Gloria Dei Chorale and also Musica
Sacra. His Christmas piece, “Love, Come
This Blessed Morn,” has become a local
favorite. He recently completed a Requiem
mass in memory of his father, Floyd F.
Daniel, who passed away in 1994. The
premiere presentation of this mass will be in
May, 2013.
Louis currently lives in Mobile; he is the
organist/choirmaster at St. John's
Episcopal Church, Mobile, and also plays
the organ at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic
Church, Semmes. He teaches 3rd and 4th
grade Music and Reading at Moss Point
Lower Elementary School in Moss Point,
Mississippi.
